University Graduates
Shape your professional career with NRW.BANK
University graduates have two possibilities to join NRW.BANK:
Joining NRW.BANK directly
University graduates may join any of NRW.BANK’s business units at any time subject to availability of vacant positions. New entrants will immediately assume responsibility in a clearly defined, challenging task in line with their respective qualifications and previous experience and benefit from supporting seminars and training. This way of joining NRW.BANK is preferred both by university graduates and the Bank.
Trainee programme
In individual cases, the Bank offers a trainee programme in selected areas.
The programme gives performance-oriented and motivated juniors exposure to previously agreed aspects of business management and IT. Trainees who have completed the programme have a clear idea and specific knowledge of tasks, functions and management control at NRW.BANK as well as of the interaction between strategically important business units.
For a period of approx. 12 months, trainees will work in 6 to 10 different areas.
These areas are agreed before the start of the programme in accordance with the applicant’s knowledge and the orientation of the programme.
On-the-job training means that trainees will be involved in day-to-day business as well as in specific projects of the respective business unit.
The trainees additionally participate in seminars, specific training courses and personal growth seminars.
Important selection criteria for both approaches:
